I joined Elemental not being sure what I was getting myself into.  At 77 was I too old? Was I being too ambitious? Could I do it?  I had a bit of self doubt going on but the support of the Elemental Admin Team and the posts and support from other people doing the challenge and their enthusiasm has made it all seem very possible.

 

  It is encouraging to see ordinary people learning new things and this has spurred me on.  I have completed two challenges, working on third and have plans in place for Learn and Explore.  It is good to see the Community growing and posting their achievements.

 I wanted something that would provide me with a challenge and push me to do more rather than letting time go aimlessly by; then along came Elemental. It was just what I was looking for. I could do things I was interested in and had the motivation to keep going. I have completed Bronze and hope to finish Silver soon. I have greatly improved my self confidence and and feel I have achieved things I wouldn’t have done without Elemental.

As part of the Elemental Team I'm not actually doing the award myself but I definitely feel like  part of the community.

It's great to see so many people pushing themselves but also encouraging each other.  It's not always easy to put yourself out there and share your goals, but with the backing of the Elemental community, anything feels possible.
